WHO IS CONSIDERED A QUALIFIED APPLICANT?
To qualify as an applicant, an investor must have a substantial business track record and a thriving entrepreneurial background. However, The Singapore Global Investor Program divides investors into several categories such:
1. INVESTOR THAT OWNS ALREADY ESTABLISHED BUSINESS
Ownership:
Investors must own at least 30% of the company’s equity and submit an auditing report for its company for the last three years. Besides that, an investor must possess at least three years of successful business track records and active entrepreneurial activities.
Turnover
The company’s yearly turnover must be at least 200 million SGD and at least SGD 200 million per annum on average for the previous three years.
2.INVESTOR THAT FALLS UNDER THE CATEGORY OF NEXT-GENERATION BUSINESS OWNER
Ownership
The investor’s immediate family must own at least 30% of its equity and submit an auditing report for its company for the last three years. Besides that, an investor must possess at least three years of successful business track records and active entrepreneurial activities.
Turnover
The company’s yearly turnover must be at least 500 million SGD and at least SGD 500 million per annum on average for the previous three years.
Additionally, the investor needs to be a member of the company’s management board.
3. INVESTOR THAT IS FOUNDER OF FAST-GROWING COMPANY
Ownership
The investor must be a founder and one of the company’s largest individual shareholders

The company must have a valuation of at least SGD 500 million.
4. INVESTOR THAT IS A FAMILY OFFICE PRINCIPAL
The investor must possess at least five years of entrepreneurial, investment, or management track record and net investible assets of at least SGD 200 million.
WHO IS QUALIFIES AS DEPENDENT ON THE APPLICATION?
This program includes:
Parents of the Investor are not eligible to be included in the application for a permanent residency permit. However, they might enjoy certain benefits, such as an option to apply for a visit pass valid for five years.
RETAINING INVESTOR STATUS WHILE BEING OUTSIDE OF SINGAPORE
This program allows investors to spend time away from Singapore but only under one condition: that the investor holds and presents a re-entry permit (REP) that must be valid. The investor must give REP whenever he travels in and out of Singapore.
The investor receives REP upon confirmation of his permanent residence status.
REP can be renewed after the expiration of five years.

PERMANENT RESIDENCE AS THE ROAD TO CITIZENSHIP
The investor receives the right to apply for citizenship after just two years of permanent residence in Singapore. Even if Singapore is almost every year strongest passport in the World, Singapore authorities do not allow dual citizenship.
